Interested in knowing and worshiping God? Then you would enjoy worshipping at Bethesda. We bring passion into our worship because we are deeply committed to God and to Jesus Christ. This is the place to be if you are interested in growing spiritually, connecting to God's people, and enjoying a laugh together. We are also a caring people who know how to feel each other's pain and share in each other grief. Whether we are worshiping, eating, laughing, serving, or crying together, we are the people of God who are far from being perfect, a people stained with the sins of the sons and daughters of Adam, who are able to encounter a loving God who desires to heal and change us.  Sundays at Bethesda connect us with other people like us, who are serious about following Christ, who call on the Holy Spirit to so strengthen us that we will not consider following Christ a chore. Service Times

Worship for us is always a celebration! We sing; we rejoice; we shout; we clap our hands; we praise God, both silently and loudly. Our music lifts us into an attitude of worship. Our prayer time ushers us into the portals of heaven and allow us to stand reverently before God and repent, replenish, repair, and restore our relationship with God, which may have been damaged during the week. The sermons seek to be relevant, but yet remain biblically based. We reach out to the present and the future, yet always finding our anchor within the centuries-old Christian traditions. Every First Sunday of the month, we observe Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper. Second Sundays of the month we baptize and bless babies and also have a fellowship hour following our 10:30 a.m. service.

We want your experience to be a rich and rewarding one so we seek to explain what you can expect when you visit with us on Sunday Mornings. We want to set your mind at ease so that you can focus more on God, His message, and your worship.

Although our church is 128 years old, we have long since removed the clothes barrier and now invite people to come and worship God as they are. Some of our worshipers come in casual slacks and shirts, while others come dressed more formal. Both are welcomed and no one will remark about the dress you've chosen, because we have all come to worship and that is our main focus.

How long is service?

Our 9:30 a.m. worship celebration lasts about ninety to one hundred and twenty minutes. We have been known to go ten to fifteen minutes over when the Spirit is high.

Sunday Morning Bible Study

Bible study classes for all ages are offered during our 8:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. period each Sunday. Your children are welcome to attend; we have several age appropriate classes for them as well as several classes for you. You can ask the greeters and they'll be glad to direct you where to go. If you have any questions you can call the church number at (914) 632-6713.

We worship God through singing, praying, fellowshipping, praising, listening to the Word, and giving of our Tithes and Offerings. We believe that we should never enter into God's presence empty-handed. Therefore we give our tithes and offerings to God as an integral act of worship; this is our way of saying we trust God alone to provide for our needs, to keep us safe, and to direct our paths. As a guest, giving your tithe/offering is optional.

Connection Cards (Formerly known as Visitors' Cards)

We want to get to know you. So when the team gives you a Connection Card please fill it out and drop it in the offering plate as it passes, or give it to one of the ushers. If you so desire when you greet Pastor Weaver you can give him your Connection Card.

Cancellation of Service

We seldom cancel our service, but if we have a major snow storm we will inform you through this website (we will have a weather notice on the home page). You will also learn about the cancellation by listening to WVOX or Channel 12 News.

How do I become a member of Bethesda?

At the conclusion of each worship service we provide an opportunity for anyone who wants to become a part of Bethesda to come down and speak to the Pastor and Deacons. A Deacon will speak to you about your conversion experience, or lead you into a conversion experience if you have not had one. You are then required to take Pastor Weaver's class, B.A.S.I.C. 101 and at the completion of that class you will be accepted fully into the membership of Bethesda.

We do not believe it is sufficient just being a member of the church. We teach and expect that you will find and become involved in a ministry that will allow you to connect to other people in the church and also to develop, sharpen, and deepen your knowledge of God, especially of His love.
